Finds duplicate pictures and videos. You can choose any folder on your hard drive (or use standard user folders) and our app will deeply analyze contents of selected folders for searching for any duplicates. The most amazing things is that it will take just a few seconds. Files will be compared by the MD5 hashing algorithm, which means that they will be compared by content, not by name. Then, using our convenient user interface you can view duplicates and delete those which you don't need.

Convenient user interface
We pay a lot of attention to the user interface because sometimes amount of duplicate files may be really huge. First, you can turn on and off groups - we split files into groups: large, medium and small files. Then, you can review each duplicate file, to be sure that you wont delete anything important (you can view it using default viewer or Notepad). Or open location of the file in Windows Explorer and make any other operation with it. You can delete files into Recycle Bin, so you can restore any deleted duplicate later in a very convenient way. And the last important thing - our app can remember scan results between sessions, so you wont need to scan again and again wasting your time.
Clean your Windows OS
You even cannot emagine how many duplicate files created on your computer every day! For example, on our test computer running Windows 10 we found 23% of duplicate files in the system folder, wasting over 1 Gigabyte of disk space. Just think - every 4th file have a duplicate on your hard drive! Mostly these were files related to Windows update service, which is working every day. Sure, some of them can be safely removed, some is not. Please be careful when checking in the system folders.

RemoteFX USB redirection support
USB Network Gate supports native RemoteFX USB Redirection (MS-RDPEUSB), allowing you to redirect shared devices from your local Linux computer to a remote Windows client without installing USB Network Gate on the latter. Note that shared USB devices have to be supported by RemoteFX USB Redirection. Otherwise, you'll need to install USB Network Gate on Windows client.

Overhauled and improved USB device isolation
One of the inconvenient features of Windows is that every connected USB device is available to all users by default. Given that Windows does not provide enough tools to control access to a particular device by a particular user, this can pose a serious problem when there are a lot of users working at the same Windows PC or at the terminal server that hosts a large number of Remote Desktop sessions. Luckily, USB Network Gate provides a unique device isolation feature which can solve that issue

Give us more change log steps. And so we have. Five times as many, with a slider in FTM 2024 that goes from 1000 to 5000.
Connect Workspace
Making it super easy to connect with your relatives is an idea so big that it gets its own workspace. The new Connect workspace makes it a snap to share your family tree with your relatives - and enlist their help in fact-checking it. They start by viewing your tree on the FTM Connect mobile app for Apple and Android devices (see below). If they find something to share with you they simply add a Relative Hint™ sticky note to the tree. Then, through the magic of TreeVault®, their sticky note icons instantly show up in your FTM tree and in the Index, right next to Ancestry and FamilySearch hints. And, as your network of helpful relatives grows, the Connect workspace automatically keeps track of their progress. Time to get connected.
FTM Connect 2.0
A greatly expanded FTM Connect app is what makes getting connected with your relatives possible. First off, there's Guest Access. Enabled by TreeVault, Guest Access is what allows you to send invitations to relatives you'd like to view your tree on their phone or tablet. And when they do, they'll find even more information from your FTM tree in this version, including Relationships, Person and Research Notes, and Web Links. And for some fun, there's direct access from the app to our Family Tree Maker collection of famous trees - from Alexander Hamilton to Luke Skywalker, and Walt Disney to Game of Thrones. Enjoy!

AlbumWALK has been called a "game-changer" for capturing memories in photos. Built around our very first technology patent, it's a free mobile app for iOS and Android devices that allows anyone to record memories and embed them in a photo using our tap-talk technology to create interactive talking photos. Just tap a face on a photo and talk about that person. Tap the next and talk and so on. And when you're finished, AlbumWALK creates a mini-documentary with professionally scored background music that can be played back in the media center of FTM 2024. To move album files to your tree, AlbumWALK relies on TreeVault, which on the way to your media collection, also puts an up-to-the-minute backup of all your AlbumWALK photos and albums in the TreeVault cloud. Once in Family Tree Maker, the talking picture files can be viewed in a built-in AlbumWALK player.
Easy on the Eyes™
One of the most frequent requests we get is "Can't you do something for my poor tired eyes?" Well now we have. Easy on the Eyes does just one thing. It enlarges areas of the People workspace while you are working in them and then puts them back to normal size. So go ahead - you can stop squinting now.
New Photo Darkroom® Tools
In FTM 2017 we introduced a set of repair tools for damaged photos, especially those faded over time to be almost blank. And we named them collectively Photo Darkroom. Now in FTM 2024 we've greatly expanded the tools you'll have on hand to rescue old family photos. They include cropping and a range of new repair tools that will help you remove dust and scratches. And, as with the first set of Photo Darkroom tools, the original photograph is always saved unchanged.

Damaged RAID recovery. If the OS cannot recognize your RAID, you can create a virtual RAID from its components. Such virtual RAID can be processed like a real one.
Creates IMAGE FILES for an entire Hard Disk, Partition or its part. Such image files can be compressed and split into several files to put it on CD/DVD/flash or FAT16/FAT32/exFAT. Then the image files can be processed like regular disks.
Data recovery on damaged or deleted partitions, encrypted files (NTFS 5), alternative data streams (NTFS, NTFS 5).
Recovering data if
FDISK or other disk utilities have been run;
VIRUS has invaded; FAT is damaged; MBR is destroyed.
Recognizes localized names.
Recovered files can be saved on any (including network) disks accessible by the host operating system.
File or disk content can be viewed and edited with the advanced hexadecimal editor. The editor supports NTFS file attribute editing.
Integration with DeepSpar Disk Imager, a professional HDD imaging device specifically built for data recovery from hard drives with hardware issues. Such integration provides R-Studio with a low-level fine-tuned access to drives with a certain level of hardware malfunction. Moreover, it allows disk imaging and analyzing be performed simultaneously. That is, any sector R-Studio accesses on the source disk will be immediately cloned to a clone disk and any other data recovery operation will be made from that clone disk avoiding further deterioration of the source disk and great reduction in processing time
