No experience needed, just a healthy dose of dedication.
Description
Sense writing is a great tool to develop your authentic voice, to help you create visceral stories. It's a beautiful skill to hone and can be enormously effective in any type of writing, including business writing.Your senses create a unique image, an image that shows how you see, hear, feel, taste and smell this world. In this course I will help you to write from the five senses so you can transport your readers into the character's experience and thus bring your stories vividly to life. Why is it so effecitive? When you read sensory words different areas of your brain light up than when reading non-sensory words. Your brain processes sensory words as if you taste a coffee, as if you see an outburst of colour, as if you feel the fur of our cat. This is why sensory words are more powerful and memorable than ordinary words because they make your reader see, hear, smell, taste, or feel your words. If this doesn't taste like more...Are you ready to take your first step into the magical land of sensory imagery language? Let's see, hear, touch, smell and taste the world, let's explore and write inspiring stories. Let's spice up your writing and invite your readers to experience your words as if they're living in your story. It is a hands on course in which you'll be putting the theory and ideas straight into practice by fun and curious exercises. In bit-sized bursts you'll master the art of sense writing. It's a beautiful course for anyone who wants to (further) develop their writing. Jump on board and let me help you captivate your audience.

Language: English | Size: 484.37 MB | Duration: 0h 58m

An introduction to variable frequency drive motor control technology and VFD power flow theory explained.

What you'll learn
The purpose of variable frequency drive (VFD) motor control.
List the two main sections of a VFD and list the subsections within these sections.
Describe the various control functions of a modern VFD.
List VFD input and output (I/O) signal types, analog and digital.
Describe how a VFD multifunction input and output works and how these functions are assigned.
Describe the power flow from the AC line supply to the motor in a modern VFD.
Name each electronic power component in a modern VFD.
Explain how energy is returned from the motor and how the DC link section or bus deals with this energy.
Understand important terms such as carrier frequency, switching frequency, pulse width modulation (PWM), volts per hertz or scalar control and dc injection.
Requirements
This course is designed for the beginner to advanced electrical student, technician, technologist or electrician that wants to learn about variable frequency drives (VFDs) or wants to improve existing skills when working with VFDs.
Description
This short course is designed to help an electrical technologist, technician, student, or experienced tradesperson to quickly get up to speed when learning about variable frequency drives (VFDs). The course is also useful for engineering students when understanding important VFD power and control concepts.A theoretical understanding of power flow and components is crucial when installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting variable frequency drive motor control systems.Part OneThe first portion of the course uses simple graphics to explain the functionality of the power and control sections of a VFD. Important drive power sections are discussed such as the converter, dc bus or link and the inverter section. The VFD control section is broken down into subsections with each part being explained.Part TwoThe second part of the course uses a VFD power schematic diagram to explain the power flow through each electronic power component in the drive. This video lesson describes the power flow through all sections of the VFD. The PWM inverter output waveform is shown and changing the carrier, or switching frequency is explained and demonstrated. The PWM waveform is shown at different carrier frequencies and output frequencies. The lesson also focuses on the DC link or "bus" and how energy is returned from the motor and is sent to a braking resistor. The front-end active drive is shown and briefly discussed. An assignment is attached to each video lesson along with an answer key. Also, to review information covered, there is a quiz at the end of each section.
Overview
Section 1: Introduction
Lecture 1 Introduction to Variable Frequency Drives Assignment
Section 2: Introduction to VFDs, the Block Diagram and Basics Overview
Lecture 2 Section 2 Assignment for Lecture 3 Video Lesson
Lecture 3 Introduction to VFDs, the Block Diagram and Basics Overview
Section 3: The VFD Power Schematic & Power Flow Explained
Lecture 4 Section 3 Assignment for Lecture 5 Video Lesson
Lecture 5 The VFD Power Schematic & Power Flow Explained
This short course is designed to help an electrical technologist, technician, student, or experienced tradesperson to quickly get up to speed when learning about variable frequency drives (VFDs). Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2024.001.20629

File size: 320/387 MB

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is the completely reimagined desktop version of the world's best PDF solution. And with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, you can create, export, edit and track PDFs from anywhere - and stay connected to recent files across all your devices.

Clean feature lineup
The application allows you to write down comments and feedback using a separate frame in the right side of the window, while the reading space is not affected at all.
In fact, this is one of this tool's strong points: the interface is quite clean, but still manages to provide a lot of tools for zooming, selecting text, printing, adding bookmarks and many others.
Supported file formats and fast searches
A great thing about Adobe Reader XI is its ability to work with CAD designs and geospatial maps converted to Portable Document Format. Also, in case you need to locate any element within a PDF file, the application offers a comprehensive file searching engine that finds what you need in a matter of seconds.
Security tools
The security functions enable you to view and work with PDF documents without having to worry about malicious code being executed on your machine. The 'Protected Mode' and the 'Enhanced Security' features are designed to safeguard your computer and provide data protection and privacy.
Configuration settings
When it comes to customizing Adobe Reader XI, the Preferences area will give you the possibility to modify a wide range of settings. Comments, 3D and multimedia, measuring and reading options are available, as well as spelling or page units configurations.
In case you find Adobe Reader XI too difficult to use, the application includes a comprehensive help manual. Unfortunately you will need an Internet connection to access it, which means you won't be able to read the documentation in offline mode.
A top PDF viewer on the market
All things considered, with this software app you can't get it wrong simply because it still sets the standards insofar as PDF documents are concerned. Adobe Reader XI really works as advertised and is the leading tool for viewing Portable Document Format files.
