Drawing & Digital Illustration Cute Animal Characters For Beginners In Procreate

About This Class
The project for this class is to draw and digitally illustrate*a cute animal.
Description
We all know cute things when we see them, right? But what makes things cute? In this class you are going to learn how to draw and digitally illustrate*animals and how to make them the cutest and most adorable little characters.
In this class we are going to choose an animal, draw it with simple stylisation and apply the cuteness factor to it. After we are done with the most adorable clean sketch of our character, I will teach you my illustration process with the "undershading" method, adding easy textures, creating the cutest giant eyes with light and reflection and we are going to also solve the mystery of dropshadows.
You will do all this with the help of The Artmother's Ultimate Brush Set*(find in the resources) and a beginner friendly step-by-step video guidance.
You will*NOT*need any complex drawing skills, just an iPad with Procreate and its basic working knowledge.*If you don't have an iPad with Procreate, don't worry!*The class can be followed along with any software but you will need to adjust the steps for yourself!
By the end of the class you will be ready to amaze the world with you cute animal characters...so are you ready to jump right into it?

Project Guide
The project for this class is to draw and digitally illustrate*a cute animal.
Make sure to at first download The Artmother's Ultimate Brush Set from the resources.
Follow these steps
- Choose a reference photo from a stock photo site or Google, where you have a front facing mammal.
- Analyse the basic geometric shapes you see in the reference photo and place them onto the canvas.
- Create a rough sketch of your animal.
- Apply the cuteness factor.
- Create a clean sketch.
- Paint your animal.
More courageous students are free to apply any illustration process and use any colors.
If you are a beginner, follow the video guidance to complete your illustration.
If you are a very beginner, find my sketch and color palette as well in the resources and use them for practice.

Colored Pencils is an excellent medium to create realistic drawings. It is a precise and versatile medium that enables you to add depth and fine details. As it is a slow and relaxing medium it helps develop patience and concentration. It requires very less materials and is mess free. By the end of this Class you will have sufficient knowledge on the basic techniques and will be confident enough to draw anything from a photo.
Who this class is for
If you are an absolute beginner and have never tried Colored Pencils before this class is for you as I will be covering everything from basics to a photorealistic drawing along with practice exercises. If you are at an intermediate level then you can enhance your skills and create advanced drawings applying the techniques learnt here.
Materials: All you need is basic stationary, a decent set of Colored Pencils(Set of 24-48), Paper suitable for the same, a White Gel Pen and willingness to learn patiently, practice regularly.*I will be attaching the recommended art supplies list and the reference images in the Projects and Resources section.
Project Guide
For the Class Project you will be doing the following
Draw along with me, complete and upload a hyperrealistic still life drawing of a Red Pepper, applying all the basic concepts and techniques learnt in the previous lessons.
The reference photo and the color chart will be attached in the Projects and Resources Section. Study the reference photo and pick the colors similar to what I have used. Keep the reference picture on your phone or tablet so that you can observe and zoom it throughout the drawing process.

This course is about Haskell. Haskell is a strong, statically typed language with a very expressive type system. It also has non- strict evaluation, and it has a very unique approach to problem-solving. This course is going to emphasize using Haskell for practical problem-solving. This course consists of several topics, in three sections. In the first topic, we'll talk about problems that FP and Haskell can address. Then we'll talk about the functional programming-specific ways of approaching these problems. Then we'll talk about how Haskell specifically addresses these types of problems. Then we'll take a look at our first Haskell programs and start to begin an intuition for what they look like. And we'll dig deeper into some issues related to whitespace and layout. Then we'll use the Glasgow Haskell Compiler's read-evaluate-print loop, known as GHCi, to explore our Haskell programs' values and types and expressions. Then we'll learn to debug with GHCi. Moving on, we'll dig deeper, and we'll start to look at Haskell values and expressions, and specifically functions as values. We'll build an intuition for some of the core concepts. Then we'll look at types, polymorphism constraints, and how we can add type signatures to our values. And we're looking to sum up product types in Haskell's record syntax. At that point, we'll know enough to tackle type classes, and we'll learn how to make our own instances of existing type classes and how to build our own type classes. Finally, to cap it all off, we'll learn how to extract values from our algebraic data types. At the end of this course, you will have a practical working knowledge of Haskell, enough to start writing your own program. You'll also know how Haskell can help us solve problems in its particular approach to software engineering. And then, you'll also have knowledge of values, expressions and types in Haskell.
