Description
Through this course, students will learn how to use OpenSesame, an open source, experiment building software for the social sciences. OpenSesame allows you to easily create experiments, using a graphical interface, as well as add audiovisual elements to develop more complex experiments. OpenSesame also enables you to run multiple trials of your experiments with minimum effort and it also helps to manage and record data. This course aims at teaching students how to operate this useful software. Enrolled students can expect to gain a comprehensive understanding of the various features and functions of this software, such as adding audiovisual stimuli and incorporating feedback given to participants, as well as an opportunity to create an experiment, using these different elements. This course will take ? hours to complete, (including one contact hour with the course instructor after completion of the workshop.)? The course is divided into ? broad sections, which include ? lectures and ? quizzes. An understanding of this software is important because OpenSesame is applicable to varied disciplines and is indispensible to experiment designing for a contemporary researcher. OpenSesame also makes the process of conducting experiments easier because it allows the calculation of accurate reaction times and other dependant variables as well as automatically saves and arranges data in the form of easy-to-view tables for each trial. Moreover, the comprehensive nature of this course ensures that its participants will not only be able to understand, but also apply the course content. Therefore, by taking this course, students and professionals will be armed with a powerful research tool. Let's add more magic to our every day lives with needle felting and fairy lights!
How?
I'll show you a simple way to add battery operated fairy lights to your needle felted projects.
But why?
Because I believe that having little shiny sparkles around us, especially in long winter nights, adds greatly to our well being. And since I also firmly believe that needle felting is a great form of mindful meditation this class is perfect as a cosy evening project. A scene like we are making in this class is also perfect for gift giving. Either to yourself or your loved ones
But is this for me?
Absolutely! Although this class builds upon my first Skillshare class called "Winter in a Cup" which I suggest watching if you are totally new to needle felting, you might be able to make this regardless.
OK, I'm interested now. Tell me what I need.
Not much really
white core wool for needle felting
2 felting needles: small and medium size - although you might end up using only the middle size like I did
felting mat (foam) to felt on
wire that holds it's shape really well after you've bent it - I am using simple florist wire
cute container to put your scene in - needs to be bigger than your fairy light's battery pack
fairy lights - battery operated and not too long
cinnamon bark strip/stick from a craft store (edible ones are way too expensive for crafting)
Anything else?

Let's create a cute little wintery scene, with a nice big cypress like looking tree and add fairy lights to it. Needle felting is such a lovely way of mindful creation with its soothing sounds that needles make when they work with wool.
We are going to

needle felt our tree first while enjoying the "ts ts ts" sounds the needle makes

enjoy our creation
This is a super easy project. I will share my process and give you plenty of ideas about how to take it even further. We shall be making a simple winter-y scene and I can't wait to see how you take it further and add your whimsical touch to the initial idea.

Keeping a backup copy of your site is extremely important. Backups act as a safety net, that allows you to restore or rollback a site back to its original state in a matter of minutes.You never know when disaster may strike. Don't put months of work at risk by not implementing a backup plan for your site. It's essential that you are in a position to restore your site back to its original state.Why do you need a WordPress backup?If you server's storage device crashes, you'll need to reconfigure the entire server first and then restore your site from a backup located on a remote server.With every new update, there always seems to be a compatibility issue. Some of these issues are serious enough to take your site down. It's easy to roll back to an earlier version of your site, delete the site files and the database and restore both from backup - problem solved.If you accidentally deleted content from your site, no problem, simply restore the latest backup and your content will be restored to the site.There is no need to panic if your site is suddenly displaying ads for another site or if your site has been defaced.
