Castle Instruments SEIKO DS-250 KONTAKT | 0.9 Gb

Seiko DS250 - A strange and extremely rare Additive synthesiser from the 1980's and used by J.M Jarre on his Rendezvous album. The DS250 has a set of presets built into it and it allows for you to stack two presets by pressing a dual function key to select layer 1 and layer 2; it is a little awkward pressing these buttons, so our version just has two sets of 16 preset select buttons which is much easier.

The D-250 relies on some form of additive synthesis to create its sound and produces tones that are not clean and pristine, but instead have a wonderful earthy, organic and grainy sound that have bags of character.

After searching for many years to find one of these illusive keyboards I was immediatly struck by its great set of presets, but I thought it was let down by not being velocity sensitive - So that was the first thing we added to Castle Instruments version. I also thought it could benefit from resonant filters, so we added those and also added velocity modulation to allow control of the Filter Cutoff and resonance; this really added so much expression to the sounds. We also added multiple filter types which can be selected from the filter menu on the interface.

We also added controllable ADSR for amp and filter, Hi-Pass filters, and MIDI syncable LFO's; all of these extra features take the sounds way beyond what can be achived with just the hardware synth. Of course our version has the original sounds from the hardware DS-250 and we created the factory presets for you in the preset folder, but it is great to be able to go way beyond what the hardware can do and explore new sounds - sort of like if Seiko had added all these new features to their original hardware.

Fluffy Audio Simple Violin KONTAKT | 1.23 Gb

Simple Violin is a violin sampled with just one true legato articulation - with full sustain note after the legato - and one dynamic layer. Sampled in a concert hall, we particularly asked the performer to pay great attention to passion and vibrato. The result is a lovely instrument, which features the same advanced engine of our more expensive products.

The instrument also features a new realistic re-bowing system that works perfectly and helps to create convincing mockups. In the end its limitations are its best strengths: easy to play, low memory footprint, natural expressiveness... at an affordable price!

DCE - DYNAMIC CONTROL ENGINE
When developing the library we tried to avoid over-processing the samples by using compression and normalization. Therefore we needed a special scripting device which could blend all the samples transitions in a very smooth and realistic way. We developed an external tool which analyzes the samples and imports this data into Kontakt called the Dynamic Control Engine. Thanks to the DCE, Kontakt knows the volumes of the samples currently playing in the instrument and matches the volume of the incoming samples with the previous ones. In the end the DCE works flawlessly "under the radar" leaving the user free to enjoy playing and building his expressive legato phrases.

The FunctionBay development team is pleased to announce the availability of RecurDyn V9R3 SP1. This release includes a variety of bug fixes and enhancements.

Main enhancements in RecurDyn V9R3 SP1

- When a start time other than 0 is used in the [Start & End Times for Output] option of Simulation Settingand the nclude Static Analysis option is turned on, the result at 0 sec (initial result) is no longer written into animation data, Description data or other result files.
- When Rotate with Point (Y) is used, the previous center point is used if no point is specified.
- ContourA.'Export Type' can now be used to export 'Contact Pressure' or 'Acoustics ERP'B.*.csv file exported from Contour dialog can be imported into Description

RecurDyn is an interdisciplinary, computer-aided engineering (CAE) software package whose primary function is the simulation of Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD). RecurDyn simulates both rigid and flexible body dynamics by combining traditional rigid MBD with cutting-edge finite element technology for modeling flexible bodies. The second in the devious Sound Dust series of multi-arp workstations. A gloriously grimey playground of poly rhythmical possibilities with an open door policy for unexpected artifacts and happenstance.

INFUNDIBULUM#2 - takes the polyrhythmic cascades of sound, strange interlocking tremolos and beautiful warped loopings of her big sister into bigger bolder territories - great for organic and gorgeous pseudo orchestras, wibbly wobbly dust pads, muscular Michael Nyman swoon and epic thrusting cinematica.

INFUNDIBULUM#2 is packed with 4GB of bowed, sung, spun, plucked, stretched, teased and blown things that have been squashed through tape, vinyl, springs and valves for the character and audio patina of a life well lived.

INFUNDIBULUM#2 is not intended to authentically replicate any of the sounds included, some have been deeply multi sampled and others are deliberately stretched across a wider keyspan than is sensible. The samples all have very obvious loop points. The whole point of Infundibulum is to embrace and celebrate the artifacts that occur when sampling goes too far. Hold a chord, any chord and you will hear the different notes start to cycle back on themselves in disjointed but glorious ways that you will never hear from a gazillion gigabyte hypersampled piano, crumhorn or orchestral calabash. Then add in the amazing multi-arp, 3 sounds repeating through different length cycles at different speeds and you are half way to an out of body experience.

New Features
- Conjugate heat transfer is now available withtheimmersed-boundary method.
- New thermal coating option for conjugate heat transfer solids.
- Options in the Preferences to disable the resizing of wind tunnel when importing a larger geometry and for the automatic zoom at geometry importation.
- The animation folder is automatically set to simulation folder by default, and can be set to a custom folder.
Improvements
- Negative HTC values for low Prandtl numbers are avoided with the isothermal model.
- Temperature is now available with surface/volume solver integrals.
- The volume heat generation is now available for Conjugate Heat Transfer solids that have boundary conditions applied on different surface groups.
- The surface fields are now correctly Descriptionted in regions where VOF = 0 in multiphase simulations.
- Number of CPU used for domain generation is half the maximum number of CPU when no /maxcpu=N option is passed, with a maximum of 6 CPU. This is to improve scalability.
Bug fixes
- Some memory consumptionissues during post-processinghave been fixed when geometries with boundary conditions disabled are used in the project.
- Other languages support is now fixed.
- Remaining computation time in the process manager is shown correctly.
- Default vertical axis is now Y-axis when importing CATpart and CATproduct.
- Educational licenses behavior is now correct
